Privacy notice
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This notice explains what personal data we collect through tapinstudio.co.uk, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what your rights are under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
The data controller is Adewumi Henry Ayorinde, trading as Tapin AI. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@tapinstudio.co.uk.

Country lookup for pricing
When the home page loads, it asks our server which country you appear to be in. Our hosting provider, Vercel, works out the country from your IP address and passes only a two-letter country code (for example GB or NG) to our code. We use that code once to pick a currency and do not store your IP address or country. If you choose a currency yourself, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (key tapin_currency) so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not set any cookies of its own. Our fonts are hosted on our own website, so loading a page does not send your data to Google Fonts. If we add analytics later, we will update this notice first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We only share it with the service providers that run the site and our communications for us:
- Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA) receives contact form submissions and forwards them to our email.
- WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd / Meta) carries messages you send us on WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA) hosts the website and processes server logs and the country lookup.
- Namecheap / Private Email hosts our email inbox.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, mainly in the USA. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge, where the provider is certified) or the provider’s standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects (form, email and WhatsApp): up to 24 months from our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of the project and then 6 years for tax and accounting records.
- Hosting logs: kept by Vercel for its standard log retention period, usually a few days.
- Your saved currency choice: stays in your browser until you clear it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data erased
- restrict how we use your data
- object to processing based on legitimate interests
- receive your data in a portable format, where that applies
To use any of these rights, email hello@tapinstudio.co.uk. We will reply within one month. Using your rights is free in most cases.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if how we use personal data changes, and show the new date at the top.
